- Apply to clean, dry and degreased surfaces at an ambient temperature of +5 to +40 °C. The gasket maker itself should be at +20 to +25 °C. Apply a continuous, even 2–3 mm bead to one mating surface.
- Skin-over time: 10–15 minutes. A gasket up to 3 mm thick fully cures in 24 hours at +23 °C and 50% relative humidity.
- No bolt retightening is required after the gasket maker has cured.
- Clean uncured material from tools and surfaces with solvent. Remove cured material mechanically.
Use KERRY® KR-969 Gasket and Sealant Remover to remove old gasket residue. Use KERRY® KR-965 Brake Cleaner to clean and degrease the mating surfaces.
