Fuel tank repair epoxy putty KERRY® KR-135-1 is a two-component high viscosity metal-polymer compound reinforced with fine titanium dioxide powder. The special formula of the compound guarantees excellent adhesion to almost all metals. Allows you to quickly, firmly and hermetically repair a damaged product or glue the necessary elements, including those experiencing significant static and dynamic loads. Resistance to water, antifreeze, gasoline and ease of use allows the use of the compound for fast, durable and hermetic repair of small leaks in gas tanks, canisters and other tanks. The mixture hardens within 15–20 minutes at a temperature of +20°C. Operating temperature range of the repaired product is from 60°C to +150°C. Sufficient strength is achieved after 1 hour, after which the joint can be stressed, machined and painted. The product withstands prolonged freezing without losing its properties.Application
- Clean the elements to be glued from dirt and oxides with abrasive material.
- Degrease the surface with acetone or any other compound that removes traces of oil.
- Separate with a sharp object a part of Epoxy Putty sufficient to repair the damage.
- Thoroughly knead until a homogeneous compound is obtained and apply to the repair site.
- Press the compound firmly against the surface to be repaired.
- At the end of work, wash your hands with warm water and soap.
- During the curing of the compound (30-40 min.) it is not recommended to subject the repaired product to shaking and shock loads, this may affect the strength of the connection.
