How to Use KERRY Radiator Stop Leak

This article explains the product’s key properties, intended use and recommended application procedure.

Radiator stop leak additive

Quickly and effectively stops leaks in the cooling system. Seals the leak by forming a firm, elastic plug only at the leak points. Does not block ducts, cavities and pipes. The product starts working only when there is a leak of coolant. Seals coolant leaks in places which are difficult to notice. Compatible with all types of coolant. Can be used with different types of radiators. Does not damage rubber and plastic connections, seals and gaskets.

Application

  • Remove the radiator cap after making sure that the engine is turned off and cold.
  • Shake well before use. Add the content of the bottle to the radiator (for cooling systems less than 8.5 litres, add 1/2 of the bottle).
  • Make sure that the radiator is filled sufficiently. Close the radiator cap.
  • With the heater on and the air conditioning off, start the engine at idle running until the cooling system has stopped leaking.
  • Remove the radiator cap after making sure that the engine is turned off and cold.
  • Refill the coolant if necessary. Close the radiator cap.
  • For best results, wash the radiator with KERRY Radiator Cleaner before using the sealant.

Radiator stop leak sealant

Intended for quick repair of leaks in the cooling system less than 8.5 litres. Compatible with all types of coolant. Does not damage gaskets, seals and all types of tubes. Can be used on copper, brass and aluminium radiators.

Application

      • Remove the radiator cap after making sure that the engine is turned off and cold.
      • Add the content of the bottle to the radiator through the radiator filler.
      • If there is no filler, disconnect the upper hose pipe of the cooling system and add the sealant.
      • Refill the coolant if necessary.
      • Install the hose pipe in place and start the engine with the heater on and the air conditioning off for 20-25 minutes.
      • The leak will stop if there is not too much damage in the cooling system.
Do not add the sealant to the coolant expansion tank!
